Gucci large flagship store in Shanghai was officially opened this month, marking the creative director Frida Giannini’s latest retail concept deliver to mainland China.

The store is located on a prominent corner of Golden Eagle International Shopping Plaza, which next to the luxury shopping landmarks Hang Lung Plaza, with an area of over 17,000 square feet. This is the 28th directly managed store of Gucci in mainland China.

Shanghai store has most of the latest design concepts of the brand, these ideas have already been promoted in New York, Rome, Munich, Hong Kong and London-based boutiques. The architectural elements of the new flagship store in Shanghai include a huge glass facade, and mahogany, marble, ribbed glass, bronze and polished rose gold for interior design.

Even luxury product industry is facing a global recession, however, Patrizio di Marco, CEO of Gucci bags are still cautiously optimistic over China and other parts of Asia.
